There are several opportunities for us to recognize the LEADERS we are growing here at Gateway!
AR Millionaire Club – Being a member of the Millionaire Club means that a student has read at least a million words this school year. Our Accelerated Reader program tracks the number of words read by students. The record for the number of words read by a student in one school year is 8,784,256 words!
* If students become ‘millionaires’, then they will be part of the Millionaire Club photo for the yearbook.
* Students that become ‘millionaires’ will be invited to the Millionaire Luncheon and Recognition. Students will enjoy a special lunch catered by a local restaurant. The Luncheon takes place during the school day and is only for Millionaire Club members.
Sunshine State Books – Students are encouraged to read and take an AR test on the books designated by the State of Florida as the Sunshine State books. Students who read and successfully pass the AR test on the Sunshine State books are recognized in the following ways.
