Gateway Elementary School is proud to announce the achievement of Level 1 and Level 2 certifications in the Marzano High Reliability Schools™ (HRS) program.
These certifications signify that Gateway has established a “Safe, Supportive, and Collaborative Culture” (Level 1) and an “Effective Teaching in Every Classroom” environment (Level 2). Together, these levels form the foundation for sustained student success. Without this strong culture and instructional focus, student achievement can be compromised.
The HRS program, created by Marzano Resources, is built on more than 50 years of educational research. It provides a five-level framework that helps schools take proactive steps to ensure that all students are learning the content and skills they need to thrive in college, careers, and beyond. Each certification level requires schools to gather and validate evidence of progress, which is then reviewed by Marzano Resources analysts in collaboration with school data teams.

By using the HRS framework, Gateway Elementary has been able to align multiple initiatives into one cohesive system, ensuring that student learning and achievement remain at the center of all decisions.
