Gateway Elementary is proud to be a public school and a part of the School District of Lee County. For more than 30 years, we have been providing high-quality education to our community. Since opening our doors in August 1992, Gateway has grown to serve over 800 students in grades PK–5, supported by more than 80 dedicated staff members, including 55 highly qualified instructional staff.
At Gateway Elementary, we embrace our district’s mission to provide a high-quality education that enables every student to reach their highest potential. We believe that all of our scholars can lead with greatness and become contributing members of a global society. With a diverse student population, we are proud to foster an inclusive learning environment that celebrates differences and ensures equity for all learners.
As an AVID school, we are committed to promoting college and career readiness by equipping students with the skills, strategies, and determination needed to achieve their goals. We also integrate our LiveSchool values, encouraging students to “Do the Right Thing,” build character, and demonstrate leadership in both academics and behavior.
Our instructional focus centers on standards-based teaching, data-driven decisions, and engaging learning experiences that enhance achievement. We encourage our students to practice good citizenship, show respect for others, and develop strong problem-solving skills—preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of an ever-changing world.
