Text Box: Welcome back for another exciting week in Mrs. Malone’s class. Please don’t forget that Valentine’s Day is on Tuesday, February 14th. We will be making a “U.S. Mail Truck” in which to place the cards we receive from our friends. I sent home a class list last week. If you have lost the list, let me know and I will send you another. Festivities begin at 2:00 and will go until the end of school. I am asking for help from anyone who is willing and available with the following centers; cookie decorating, conversation hearts letter, and butterfly heart craft project. Also, if you would like to send in candy, cookies, chips, Doritos, anything else you can think of that will be tasty and fun for the students, I would greatly appreciate it. I am making the ever famous Vernor’s Punch to drink!! This week we are beginning a new routine in writing. The students must learn to write two full pages in 45 minutes after given a prompt. In order to practice this, I will give the students 5 minutes to write at least 100 words pertaining to a particular topic each day. We will also review the narrative and expository planners and write one of each this week. The FCAT Writes Test is just around the corner…..YIKES!!!!
